CMYK PrintingMulti-color printing utilizing cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks (CMYK) to produce the optical illusion of all colors and hues being present in the final print. Most color photographs and images are printed with Process Color.
-
PMS Ink MatchPMS refers to the Pantone Matching System which are colors referenced with a Pantone book. This allows both the designer, client, and our press team to view the same PMS color from a printed chip to ensure the correct color. For more information go to https://www.pantone.com/material/print
-
Hot Stamp FoilA printing process in which foil is transferred by a plate or die to a label material using a combination of heat and pressure. Using hot foil produces finer detail than using cold foil.
-
Print Over FoilA method of printing using a printing plate and ink that prints on top of foil to add detail.
-
Sculpted EmbossingSculpted embossing adds a 3 dimensional effect to the area that is embossed by using metal dies that are engraved at various depths and levels.
-
Polymer EmbossingAn embossing technique that uses photo polymer plates to create raised detail in the label paper surface. We make our own polymer embossing plates in-house and can achieve a high level of detail. The raised surface is limited to one level so sculpted embossing is used when an area needs to have different depths of embossing or debossing.
-
Highbuild VarnishMethod of printing in which ink is forced through a mesh screen and onto the substrate. This process results in a heavy ink deposit not possible with other print methods.
-
Spot Gloss VarnishA label finishing option that adds gloss varnish to selective areas of the label. Spot Gloss helps text and artwork stand out from the rest of the label.
-
Soft Touch VarnishA soft and wax like varnish that can be printed on coated label paper.
